Effective Models for Charge Transport in DNA Nanowires Consequently, model Hamiltonian approaches, which filter out single factors influencing charge propagation in the double helix, are highly valuable. In this chapter, we review the different DNA models that are thought to capture the influence of some of these factors. We will specifically focus on static and dynamic disorder.

Biomolecular Automataices by DNA. In particular, two approaches for biomolecular models of automata are described. The first model is based on using the action of restriction endonucleases and the second is based on DNA self-assembly and DNA nanomolecular devices.
