Material Additives for Microstructured Polymer Optical Fibres,or the cane. Both methods are described here, and results showing the fluorescence from fibres doped with organic dyes, embedded organo-silica nanoparticles and quantum dots are presented. Indeed, an mPOF laser has been demonstrated using the solution doping method.
