Microplastics in Freshwater Environments and Drinking Water,ic environments and samples of drinking water and we discuss which are the main aspects addressed and which require further clarification. Finally, we point out some perspectives for the future and suggestions for knowledge gaps that must be filled by the scientific community.

Microplastics Occurrence in Different Regions Around the World,ics may be accumulated in all environments across different countries of the world. However, the quantum of MPs present globally remains under estimated since there is lacuna of information in many parts of the world. All countries in unison should minimize plastic discharges and find alternatives to reduce MP accumulation.

Microplastics Pollution in Coastal Zones,f the ways of containing marine plastic pollution. For such purpose, microbial degradation studies of polymers is a current area of research in focus by scientists. Such studies showed us that microbial degradation could be used for bioremediation purposes of marine plastics and could be a possible way of reducing marine plastic pollution.
