FeS Solid Lubrication Layer Prepared by Other Methods,l with some smaller and easily transported parts, such as cylinder piston rings, nozzles, pistons, and roller bearings, etc. In order to extend the application of solid lubrication layer, it is very necessary to develop new processes for preparing low-cost FeS layers. In this chapter, other methods for preparing FeS coatings will be introduced.

Solid lubrication materials are divided into four categories, i.e., soft metals, metal compounds, inorganic and organic materials. They have different lubricating mechanisms and can be applied to different situations.

FeS Solid Lubrication Film Prepared by a Two-step Method,hods for preparing FeS film–two-step method, namely the precursor was firstly fabricated by sputtering, shot-peening, nitriding, carbonitriding, or spraying, and then was treated by ion sulfuration to form FeS film.
