Finite Difference Operators with a Finite-Band Spectrum,tral surface by another one and the related transformations on the set of multidiagonal operators (so-called Renormalization Equations). We prove several new results dealing with Renormalization Equations for periodic Jacobi matrices (polynomial coverings) and for the case of a rational double covering.

On Dirichlet-to-Neumann Maps and Some Applications to Modified Fredholm Determinants, reduces the Fredholm perturbation determinant associated with a Schr?dinger operator on the half-line (0, ∞) to a simple Wronski determinant of appropriate distributional solutions of the underlying Schr?dinger equation.
