Constraint Satisfaction, Complexity, and Logicf this talk is to present an overview of recent advances in the investigation of the computational complexity of constraint satisfaction with emphasis on the connections between “islands of tractability” of constraint satisfaction, database theory, definability in finite-variable logics, and structures of bounded treewidth.

Computationally Intelligent Methods for Mining 3D Medical Imagesation based on activation patterns in these areas exceeded 90% with nearly 100% accuracy on patients, outperforming the naive static partitioning approach. The proposed intelligent tools have great potential for revealing relationships between ROIs in medical images and other clinical variables assisting systems that support medical diagnosis.
