Some Remarks about Synonymity and the Theorem of Beth,dicate that the results concerning definability apply to a wider field. In the model theoretic treatment of synonymity the Theorem of Beth is basic.. But even in a purely syntactical-logical treatment this theorem can be used as a handy tool, as will be shown in an example.
