Signatures of density-dependent forces in intermediate energy proton scattering, lead to similar corrections to the impulse approximation in elastic scattering as recent relativistic formulations. Excitation of isobaric analogues states and isoscalar spin-flip states is predicted to be affected by medium effects. The experimental evidence for this is discussed.
