Short Term Evaluation of Brain Activities in fMRI Data by Spatiotemporal Independent Component Analyd mixture of hemodynamic signals, physiological perturbations and noise. In this paper an extension to spatial application of ICA (sICA) was performed. The results confirmed that the spatial approach permits to obtain improved identification of brain activities, even when the temporal length of data is reduced.

Computational Modeling of the Cardiovascular System After Fontan Procedurere based on clinical observations. For the verification of the present method we simulate a lower body negative pressure (LBNP) test and hemorrhage (20% blood volume loss). Both simulation results are compared to experimental data from the literature. Furthermore, it is shown that cardiac output decreases when the shunt resistance increases.

Linear and Nonlinear Evaluation of Ventricular ArrhythmiasVentricular arrhythmias are often difficult to evaluate on a quantitative basis.We present here the results of analysis with traditional Fourier transforms, and recurrence quantification analysis. The results indicate that recurrence quantification can better distinguish them, most likely due to its ability to handle nonstationary, nonlinear data.
