A faunistic reconnaissance of Lakes Kundi and Keilak, western Sudan the two lakes are similar, with L. Kundi (130 species recorded) being richer than L. Keilak (91 species). The fauna of L. Kundi includes the protomonad ., which has not been previously recorded in Africa. In L. Keilak we found ., previously known only from L. Tanganika.
