Operators in Quantum Mechanics and Model System IIsion of light–matter interaction phenomena. As a second model system, the harmonic oscillator is discussed in terms of Heisenbergs matrix method as well as in terms of ladder operators. The results are used to illustrate the idea of electromagnetic field quantization.
