Lectin Activation Induces T4, T8 Coexpression on Peripheral Blood T Cellsression of T4 and T8 on a fraction of peripheral blood T cells. Our results suggest that T4, T8 coexpression occurs on an activated blast-like peripheral blood T cell. Since lymphocyte cell surface phenotype and function appear to be closely linked, the T4.T8. cell may prove to have an important role in either regulation or differentiation.
