gewijzigd. Verder is er aan deze editie een register met trefwoorden toegevoegd. Dit maakt het makkelijker om snel iets op te zoeken. Ook moet de elektronische versie met zoekfunctie daarbij behulpzaam zijn.

Leidraad specifieke therapeutische ingrepen,ieve maatregelen (koeling, cardioplegie). In een aantal gevallen is het ook mogelijk deze ingreep uit te voeren zonder gebruikmaking van de hartlongmachine (zgn. off-pump chirurgie). Ook bestaat er de mogelijkheid van minimaal invasieve bypasschirurgie (midcab) via links-laterale thoracotomie.
