Local Extinctions, Habitat Fragmentation, and Ecotonese conducive to observing the processes of local extinction. Fragmentation creates ecotones, expands them, and moves them. Therefore, from the information that we have about fragmentation effects, it may be possible to learn about the effects of changing ecotones on species extinctions.
