Immature Stages of Insect Endoparasites,hey may devour the host from the outside (ectoparasite). Only those of the former category will be discussed in this section. Both groups are extremely important regulators of insect populations. Many adult forms serve a predatory role by inflicting wounds and feeding on the hemolymph of insect pests or devouring the entire prey.
