Flux Dependent Dielectric Response of Stacked Nanoscopic Ringsa field of order 0.1 T [1, 2]. In an attempt to explain this anomaly Kettemann . [3] described the interacting tunneling systems in a glass by noninteracting two-level systems with a strongly renormalized effective charge . ≈ 10.e. This is an interesting issue because the large . value implies the existence of a new correlated many-body state.

Giant Magnetoresistance of a Single Interfaceure and the magnetic properties were investigated by X-ray reflectometry, X-ray diffraction, M?ssbauer spectroscopy and SQUID magnetization measurements. The magnetoresistance was measured by a four contact method at 4.2 and 300 K up to a magnetic field of 12 T with current in plane (CIP) for parallel (.∥.) and transversal (. ⊥ .) geometries.

Shape-Induced Magnetic Anisotropy in Dilute Magnetic Alloys narrow wires already for the μm scale, other measurements [4] showed an almost constant Kondo anomaly for wires with widths ranging down to 40 nm. The apparent discrepancy between the results of different groups makes the subject controversial and far from conclusive [5].

Scanning Tunnelling Spectroscopy of A Single Kondo Impuritye Kondo effect. In particular, the observed Fano lineshape of the Kondo resonance reveals details of the quantum mechanical interference between the localized orbital and the conduction electrons [1, 2]. These results open new perspectives for probing magnetic nanostructures.

Electron Decoherence at Zero Temperature . at zero temperature is thus extremely fundamental. Despite its glaring necessity, most studies of decoherence are done in the high temperature (classical) limit for the environment. Any phenomenology which depicts zero temperature decoherence is thus essential to foundational problems [2] of quantum theory.
