Information Dissemination Based on the En-Passant Communication Patterntion is determined by exchanging profiles first. As example application UbiQuiz is presented, a mobile quiz application. It exchanges questions using the en-passant communication pattern. UbiQuiz has been implemented, tested and evaluated within a simulation and on real devices.

Adjusting the ns-2 Emulation Mode to a Live Networkrucial to obtain valid results from an emulation experiment. In this paper we evaluate a modified version of the ns-2 that has been optimized for emulations. We analyze the effect of different parameter settings in various experiments and compare the results with measurements in a live network.
