Edge Segmentation and Matching,apter 4. Specifically, Section 1 presents the edge segmentation algorithm and Section 2 presents the matching algorithm. The Canny edge detector was used for initial edge extraction. The methods here have been developed specifically to support extraction and matching for a ground-based mobile robot.
