The Kinetic Equation of Photons,ines the phenomenological emission and absorption coefficients and the source function. Section 3.2 discusses emission-absorption processes corresponding to bound-bound, free-bound, and free-free transitions, and Sect. 3.3 scattering by stationary and moving particles, respectively.
