Introduction,y study of Jewish representations concentrates on Romantic-era British writing, roughly between 1780 and 1840. By the logic of my argument I am forced to go back to George Granville’s . (1701) and ahead to Grace Aguilar’s . (1853), but otherwise the focus stays mostly within Romanticism.
