Determination of Geo-dependent Bioavailable 87Sr/86Sr Isotopic Ratios for Archaeological Sites from l bone material from the chosen archaeological sites. This way, the vertebrate consumer can clearly be classified as a local or non-local individual. Our model calculation, which leads to a reliable geo-dependent bioavailable .Sr/.Sr isotopic ratio, reveals a high dependence on the isotopic signal from groundwater rather than from soil.

Towards Predicting Places of Origin from Isotopic Fingerprints: A Case Study on the Mobility of Peops are used for determining the places of origin of individual finds, an information necessary for archaeologists exploring past mobility and trade in that region. Our initial step in helping to identify provenance is evaluated in a preliminary case study using the aforementioned real dataset.
