Parameter Transfer by Means of the COMMON Statement,The last two chapters described how information can be exchanged between the calling part of the program and the subprogram being called. In addition to these possibilities, a storage area can be defined which can be accessed not only from the main program but from all subprograms. This mutual storage area is the so-called COMMON area.
