Gallbladder and Bile Ducts,c duct runs anterior to the transverse segment of the left portal vein, passes cephalad to the umbilical portion of the portal vein, and then connects to the lateral segmental branch in the left lobe. The lateral segmental branch runs parallel to and superoposterior to its accompanying portal vein radicle.

Adrenal Glands,the liver, posterior to the inferior vena cava and adjacent to the right crus of the diaphragm. The left adrenal is half-moon shaped and is located on a line connecting the upper pole of the left kidney and the aorta, adjacent to the left crus of the diaphragm.
