The first edition was compiled by Friedrich W. Heuck, Dr. med. , and spanned the first fifteen years of the Society. Dr. Heuck‘s contribution to the first edition is immeasurable". In the book, Harold Jacobson M. D. presented his historical perspective of the beginnings of the Society and Dr. Heuck presented information of the years that followed.
