The Association of Small Nuclear RNA Species with Rapidly Sedimenting Subnuclear Structurese synthesized by RNA polymerase C or III (Zieve et al. 1977), whereas nothing is known about the transcription of snRNA. The exact biological function of the small molecular weight RNA species remains widely obscure at present.

(iii) Most of the nucleoplasmic protein in the form of beaded aggregates which sediment at 10–20 S. These isolated structures are compared with the ultrastructural features of sectioned nuclei and their possible interrelationship is discussed.

Interaction of Eukaryotic Ribosomes with Messenger RNA: Evidence for a Scanning Mechanismlly increased binding of . ribosomes to the synthetase and A-protein cistrons, and also allowed initiation at a few spurious sites. Perturbation of mRNA structure also alters the specificity of initiation by eukaryotic ribosomes, but the effects are quite different from those observed in prokaryotic systems.

The Transcription of Satellite and Ribosomal DNA Sequences on Lampbrush Chromosomes of Crested Newtsnding with denatured labelled DNA. It will be obvious that the technique not only allows detection by autoradiography of the probe sequence in the axis of a lampbrush loop, but it also gives evidence of the transcription of that sequence.
