A Multi-Instance Multi-Label Learning Approach for Protein Domain Annotations and 10 high-cycle functional labels. The experiment results reveal that PDAMIML yields significant performance gains when compared to the state-of-the-art ap-proaches. Furthermore, we combine PDAMIML with the other two existing methods by using majority voting, and obtain encouraging results.

Structure-Based Prediction of Protein Phosphorylation Sites Using an Ensemble Approachained from cross validation and independent test suggested that our method achieved a significant improvement on the prediction quality. Promising results were obtained after being compared with the state-of-the-art approaches using independent dataset.

Tumor Clustering Using Independent Component Analysis and Adaptive Affinity Propagation propagation (AP). Particularly, ICA is initially employed to select a subset of genes so that the effect of irrelevant or noisy genes can be reduced. The AP and its extensions, adaptive affinity propagation (adAP), are then used for tumor clustering on the selected genes.

Concept Mining of Binary Gene Expression Dataustering is performed first. Finally, the column-clustering and the row-clustering are repeated iteratively until the stopping criterion is satisfied. Experimental results show that our algorithm can identify the non-overlapping biclusters effectively.

Evolving Additive Tree Model for Inferring Gene Regulatory Networksdata. An evolutionary algorithm based on the additive tree-structure model is applied to identify the structure of the model and genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the parameters of the ODEs. The experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective for inferring gene regulatory networks.
