Insights for LES from structure-based turubulence modeling,(SGS) models and the distortion of sub-grid turbulence by the large eddies is like the distortion of homogeneous turbulence by mean deformation. Therefore our understanding of how the evolution of the Reynolds stresses is influenced by the turbulence structure can provide valuable insights for SGS modeling.

Active control of turbulent boundary layers for drag reduction,ions of neural networks, suboptimal control theory, the Goore scheme and systems control theory. It is shown that each approach leads to a successful control scheme, thus proving the validity of the premise mentioned above.

Numerical simulation of atmospheric turbulence,ic boundary layer and then some failures. The successes are the simulation of the Convective Boundary Layer (CBL) and the Neutral Boundary Layer (NBL). The failures are the simulation of the horizontal velocity fluctuations and the behaviour of the skewness of vertical velocity fluctuations near the surface both in the CBL.

Dynamic DNS of flow-structure interaction problems,itude of cylinder vibration as well results on statistics and flow vizualizations. These results are in good agreement with experimental data unlike previously published results at lower Reynolds number.
