Pattern recognition approach to an acoustical quality test of burnt ceramic products,heir being free from cracks. Cracks can only be discovered by acoustical evaluation. Test equipment for acoustical pattern recognition analysis takes over the inspector‘s task today. It recognizes cracks reliably. The error rate is reduced greater selectivity increases productivity.

Operationalizing software reuse as a problem in inductive learning, Metrics (PM), the focus is on operationalizing the first two subtasks..This paper describes how the PM System performs the extraction of reusable procedural knowledge. An explanation of how PM works is carried out thorough the paper using as example the PASCAL system written by Goldberg [4] to implement the Holland‘s Genetic Algorithm.

The TOVE project towards a common-sense model of the enterprise,he TOVE effort is enabling the easy instantiation of the model for a particular enterprise TOVE models will be automatically created as a by product of the enterprise design function. TOVE is currently being built to model a computer manufacturer and an aerospace engineering firm.
