Classification and Enzyme Properties of Starch Debranching Enzymes,, pullulanase, and isoamylases, are very different. Pullulanase generally requires the presence of at least two α-1,4-linked glucose units on two sugar chains linked by α-1,6 bonds, whereas isoamylases require at least three α-1,4-linked glucose units.
