Special Food Preservation Methods and Other Applications,re obtained by using efficient refrigerating plant and good insulation of the room. The only other action taken was refreshing the air from time to time by extracting air through a ventilator. This action was particularly necessary for citrus fruit, which produces a large quantity of volatile gases.

Refrigerants,Refrigerants can be divided into two groups: primary and secondary. Primary refrigerants produce coldness by changing from liquid to vapour. Secondary refrigerants transfer the thermal energy from the object to be cooled to the primary refrigerant.
