Interactions of Mercury and Selenium in River System correlation between Se and Hg in the dissolved phase in river water was not significant (.?>?0.05; Fig.?.). This result was likely affected by the enhanced Se content in the downstream area contributed by the Se-enriched groundwater (Zhang et al. .).

Interactions of Mercury and Selenium in Soil-Rice Systemory-controlled experiments (rather than in natural fields with more complex conditions because they vary both spatially and temporally), and were only focused on the detoxifying effect of Se on inorganic Hg (IHg) but not methylmercury (MeHg) (Afton and Caruso .; Mounicou et al. ., .; Shanker et al. .; Yathavakilla and Caruso .).
