Unusual Pancreatic Neoplasms: Imaginging (S. 1997). Endocrine Hyperfunctioning Tumorsften quite small. We shall describe the various techniques available in the armamentarium of imaging tests for assessing these rare lesions and outline the specific features as well as the results with each one. Pathology of Cystic Tumors modern imaging techniques, such as ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography (CT). They have been encountered in 1.4% of all abdominal CT scans (P. et al. 1980), in 10% of all pancreatic cysts (H. et al. 1978; W. et al. 1990) and in 1%–7.1% of all pancreatic neoplasms (C. and F. 1984; M. et al. 1983).
