Visual Speaker Identification with Spatiotemporal Directional Featureson encoded as weight for the bins with the same sign value is developed to improve the discriminative ability. Moreover, decorrelation is exploited to remove the redundancy of features. Experimental results on the challenging XM2VTS database show the effectiveness of the proposed representation for this problem.

Biometric Authentication Based on Pupillary Light Reflex Using Neural Networksat the biometric level. The involuntary responses of the body cannot be removed from the person, naturally mimicked or reproduced by artificial means. This paper presents a proposal for the use of the features of the Pupillary Light Reflex for user authentication, using artificial neural networks for classification.

Outlier Detection in Non-intrusive ECG Biometric Systeme artifacts. In this paper, we propose an outlier removal system to eliminate noisy segments, and enhance the performance of non-intrusive ECG biometric systems. Preliminary results show that this system leads to an improvement on the recognition rates, helping to further validate the potential of ECG signals as complementary biometric modality.

A Two-Layer Marked Point Process Framework for Multilevel Object Population Analysisthe observed data, prior knowledge, and local interactions between the neighboring and semantically related objects. The proposed method is demonstrated in three different application areas: built in area analysis in remotely sensed images, traffic monitoring on airborne Lidar data and optical inspection of printed circuit boards.

On Adaptive Fingerprint Pore Extraction. Although we illustrate its application only on a specific database, our approach is quite general, simple and can be easily extended to others image applications involving similar feature extraction.
