Roughness Scaling Parameters in the Fully-Rough Regime,ness of the roughness probability density function (.). Boundary layer similarity scaling then allows the overall frictional drag coefficient to be determined as a function of the ratio of the equivalent sandgrain roughness height to length of the surface.

Turbulent Flows over Aligned and Inclined Ribs,lls of the channel in a non-staggered configuration. The mean velocities and turbulent statistics obtained at various spanwise locations in both the parallel and converging sections of the channel are used to document the salient effects of rib roughness, pressure gradient, rib inclination and spanwise location of the flow field.

POD Analysis of the Near-Wall Region of a Rough Wall Turbulent Boundary Layer, the energy distribution amongst the POD modes throughout the boundary layer,the higher modes, i.e. the relatively small-scale and less energetic motions, being themost perturbed. The first few near-wall POD modes were also affected by the spacing.

Rough Wall Skin Friction Measurements Using a High Resolution Surface Balance,t shear stress measured by two component LDA to the wall matched exactly the shear stress measured using the friction balance. Also, the wall shear stress obtained from the balance in the fully developed channel flow agreed with the stress that could be derived from the pressure gradient to within 3%.
