Geomorphology, Mineralogy and Groundwater Geochemistry as Factors of the Hydrodynamic System of the s in mineralogy and brine geochemistry in the uniquely restricted marine system of the sabkha south of Nabq, called the Gavish Sabkha. Also, we give a more specific geological and geochemical description of this particular sabkha than has been described previously (Gavish 1980, Gavish et al. 1978, Krumbein et al. 1979 a).

Botanical Studies on Coastal Salinas and Sabkhas of the SinaiSalinas and salt marshes (hydrosalinas) of the world have often been studied by biologists (Chapman 1974, 1975, 1976), but the many salinas and sabkhas of the Sinai Peninsula have never been investigated in detail, and only a few papers dealing with them have been published (Migahid et al. 1959, Danin 1981, 1983).

IntroductionIn this section we deal with special aspects of the Gavish Sabkha, and in two contributions with the very similar environments of the Ras Muhammad Pool (Chap. 10) and the Solar Lake (Chap. 15). Comparisons are made, however, in the individual contributions to other evaporative systems.
