Hydrologic Modelling of Urban Catchments part, called net rainfall, will produce storm runoff. The net rainfall is then transformed into a flow hydrograph for the area. This transformation, called surface routing, accounts for temporal distribution of the net rainfall at the outlet of the area, caused by overland flow processes.
