Snow and Ice,ly distributed between different parts of the world. Ice that has been created from freezing of water has a density at 0 °C of 0.916748?g/cm., and is thereby lighter than water. Ice will float on water, but the difference in density makes ice float with 88?% of its volume below the water surface.
