Energy Band Structure of Strongly Correlated Electrons in a CuO2 Layer, top of the valence band has a minimum at the . point, indicating the existence of the multi-valley Fermi surface in the doped La.Sr.CuO.. The origin of the Fermi liquid behavior in the narrow quasi-particle bands is discussed.
