From Granular Superconductivity to High Tc,allel is drawn between its unconventional transport properties and those of the cuprates. Kondo behavior of granular aluminum is underlined, pointing out to the presence of free spins and the interplay between Coulomb blockade and electron-electron interactions.

The Barocaloric Effect: A Spin-off of the Discovery of High-Temperature Superconductivity,Some key results obtained in joint research projects with Alex Müller are summarized, concentrating on the invention of the barocaloric effect and its application for cooling as well as on important findings in the field of high-temperature superconductivity resulting from neutron scattering experiments.

Towards an Understanding of Hole Superconductivity,From the very beginning K. Alex Müller emphasized that the materials he and George Bednorz discovered in 1986 were . superconductors. Here I would like to share with Alex and others what I believe to be . key reason for why high .. cuprates as well as . are hole superconductors, which I only came to understand a few months ago.
