Feedback Control and Imaging RateAchieving feedback control to maintain the tip–sample contact strength is essential in the AFM imaging of biological samples. However, feedback control with a chasing-after nature cannot be carried out in real time; there is always a time delay and hence a control error. Faster imaging requires faster feedback control with a shorter time delay.
