Modeling 1D Distributed-Memory Dense Kernels for an Asynchronous Multifrontal Sparse Solver. decompositions, study the use of several levels of blocking, before focusing on communication issues. The general purpose sparse solver MUMPS has been modified to implement the proposed algorithms and confirm the properties demonstrated by the models.

The performance advantage also varies for different subspace sizes and matrix formats, which requires a further integration of auto-tuning strategy.

Fault Tolerance in an Inner-Outer Solver: A GVR-Enabled Case Studyce (GVR) programming model, which provides multi-stream snapshots, multi-version data structures with portable and rich error checking/recovery. Experimental results validate correct execution with low performance overhead under varied error conditions.
