Calculations of Velocity, Composition and Temperature Fields in a Model Swirl Combustor with a ReynoA Reynolds-Stress Transport Turbulence model is applied to calculate the flow, species and temperature fields in a model swirl combustor. Favre-averaging has been used to derive the equations, although weighted and unweighted averages are presented. Based on the results obtained some weaknesses of the model are pointed out.

Numerical Prediction of Flame ImageThe paper reports the prediction of a turbulent propane free flame. The numerical procedure includes turbulent combustion and radiation models. A numerical procedure is outlined to predict the digitised image from a CCD-camera. A qualitative good agreement between the predicted and digitised images was obtained.
