: A Visualization Tool for Location Awareness to Support Informal Interactions, people in a single office, and the movement of people throughout the environment. We describe the context of the environment in which the tool is used, the features embodied in this tool, variations we have implemented for representing location and movement information, and some potential extensions for future versions of the tool.

Enabling Context-Awareness from Network-Level Location Tracking,environments, applications will have to be adaptive, which requires context-awareness. We propose in this paper an efficient way to export context-dependent informations to applications by exploiting location knowledge available at the network level. This method is illustrated by a prototype using Mobile-IP and a context-aware Web browser.

Componentized applications, adaptable middle- ware frameworks, and standardized protocols play a significant role in this new paradigm.
