Musculoskeletal Injuries in the Military subject has not been reviewed in depth since the excellent treatises of the early 1980s [1.1–5]. Thus, Vol. II of this series is most timely. Although these two volumes are complementary, we intend that they be individually self-contained. Therefore, some introductory material presented in Vol. I will of necessity be presented again here.
