Geyser Area Complexes,lfide at high temperature. They are commonly called steam vents and are found in volcanic regions, most often in lava, but also in geyser areas where they usually lie on higher ground than flowing springs. Water can be heard boiling violently deep within many of them.

Temporal Changes in Geyser Activity and Their Causes,Some geysers erupt quite regularly, others sporadically; some are active for a while, then become inactive, only to rejuvenate at a later time; new geysers come into being while others fade away.
