Minerals-Handling and Processingously inaccurate and it is difficult to understand how the frictions are mobilized. This study proposes a simplified method for pile design that can overcome the mentioned difficulties. The results of this study show that this method may be applied to design practices.

Settlement and pile response in a long-term vertically loaded piled raft foundation model on saturatith elapsed time. The rate of settlement was basically proportional to the dissipation rate of pore pressure beneath the raft base. In secondary consolidation period, the pile load was slightly reduced under smaller applied load, and stable under larger applied load.

Study on effect of vertical load on performance of horizontallyloaded pile foundations through threeof numerical analyses are conducted to investigate the influence of vertical load on the horizontal response of the foundations. The analysed results indicate that the increase of vertical load leads to the increase of the horizontal resistance and the internal forces of the piles are influenced by the vertical load level.

Vertical loading test of foundation pile of Source of the Nile Bridge in Uganda comparing: pile head only, the average of acceleration per depth and acceleration of pile head cross the acceleration ratio of pile head and toe. We found that the only tolerance of third way of calculating would not be overestimated which is very important to safety.
