Geospatial Data Interoperability, Geography Markup Language (GML), Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), chnologies for achieving geospatial data interoperability at the syntax level. Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) moves away from monolithic systems towards distributive systems with interoperable components, and implementations of the SOA may decrease problems in data and model duplication and maintenance.
