The Characterization of the Residence Time Distribution in a Fluid Mixer by Means of the Information Entropy, experimental RTD measurements to determine the information entropy. This paper discusses a method to compute information mixing capacity as a measure of mixing performance for a continuous flow system. The proposed criterion is applied to evaluate a mixing system with motionless inserts.
