Novel Methods of Introducing Pest and Disease Resistance to Crop Plants,sistant to many of these challenges, but major, and sometimes catastrophic, losses still occur. In the struggle to feed an ever-increasing population, new methods of introducing resistance could be crucial. Methods that can obviate the concomitant pollution problems that are the frequent consequences of pesticide use are especially welcome.
