Stars and Cosmic Rays,e review our current knowledge on “solarlike activity” and its relation with stellar parameters at various locations of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. This “solar-stellar connection” emphasizes the role of solar studies in helping to understand the pre-acceleration states of the history of galactic cosmic rays.

Conditions for Acceleration of Super-High Energy Cosmic Rays in Active Galactic Nuclei,a low impedance element (ambient conducting medium). Beam particles can be accelerated to 10. provided that the beam channel medium behaves like an inductive circuit with high impedance. But even if these conditions are satisfied, a major difficulty the model faces is the large energy loss caused by photomeson reactions.

Cosmic Ray Bombardment of Solids in Space,ant role played in giant molecular clouds by cosmic rays for the production of molecular hydrogen, the cornerstone of interstellar chemistry. A method to obtain suitable information on the almost unknown spectrum of low energy cosmic rays outside the heliosphere is also presented.

Current Issues in Macroeconomics sky area. Events with energy above 5×10. eV are largely of extragalactic origin. Several particles arrive preferentialy from the general direction of the local supercluster. There is also an excess of particles coming from the Galactic South Pole direction, which is not understood.

Enrico G. Beltrametti,Bas C. Fraassenhese results are then compared with the measured properties of the e. component of cosmic rays in the solar neighborhood. It is found that even though this component of the cosmic rays is a rather minor one in terms of either number or energetics, it is the component which appears best explained by known phenomena at the present time.
